Picture Post of Dalongdong Bao'an Temple and Xiangshan, Taipei

I’ll be leaving Taiwan at the end of the week. I don’t know why but I feel pretty ready for that. I mean, I like Taipei quite a lot but I’ve been here about 6 months, which is a bit of a record for me so it’s time to move on, haha. Bangkok next week, with new pictures to share I’m sure.

I wen to Dalongdong Bao’an Temple (大龍峒保安宮) last week – I’ve been meaning to upload images but I’ve been too busy with other things. Dalongdong is one of the more beautiful (IMO) temples in Taipei proper – but I imagine even most locals haven’t been to every single one. A quick Google search shows 15,000 temples on the entirety of the island and Taipei’s the biggest city, sooooo…

Today I decided to hike Xiangshan (象山) one last time. Instead of taking the usual route, I ended up taking a side trail I’ve never visited before and was pleasantly surprised to find a view that might be even better than the main viewing platform!

Loving this snappy little XC 15-45mm lens. So very wide! I ended up hanging out a few hours as I wanted to get some night time images as well. For some reason I still can’t get the hang of night time city landscapes; they always look *ok* to my eyes but not great.

Let’s see…Do I have anything else from photogenic Taipei that I haven’t shared yet? I think so; just some random odds and ends I’ve collected over the weeks:

  1. Beautiful. These images are great for viewing with Pink Floyd playing on my headphones.
